Does that mean I’ll forget the past? Fuck no. Rissa was a hard pill to swallow and I’m not about to let another woman do what she did. Nor will I forget my beautiful daughter I’d buried in a cemetery on the other side of town away from the bitch who killed her. I still visit the grave sometimes but not as often lately.

Breaking the kiss, I lift my head enough to look down at Raven, my wife, the woman who I can never get enough of. I hold her gaze as I fuck her with enough force that we’re panting for breath by the time we both come together.

When I pull out of her this time, I slide off the bed bringing her with me. “Come on Birdy, let’s get a shower and then I’ll feed you. You're gonna need your strength,” I say, grinning as I lift her up into my arms and carry her out of the bedroom.

“Put me down. I can walk you know,” she grumbles but doesn’t fight me.

“I don’t care,” I chuckle turning to walk into the bathroom.

Throughout our shower neither of us says a word as we explore each other’s bodies until the water goes cold. Drying off, I slip on my jeans leaving them undone while Raven pulls my tee shirt over her head.

She’s fuckin’ gorgeous and I can’t seem to take my eyes off her. Raven’s a natural beauty, never needing an ounce of makeup. Why she insists on the gunk is ridiculous. Leave it for the women who are self-absorbed with themselves.

“You said something about feeding me. Does that mean you can cook, or do I need to be the one to do it?” she asks, arms crossing over her chest as she brings me out of my thoughts.

“Whatever you want baby. You want to cook, go for it. Want me to, sure I’ve got no problem with cookin’. I make a mean breakfast burrito.” For some reason this morning I can’t keep the smile off my face.

Raven goes to speak but the ring tone ‘Bodies’ by Drowning Pool starts playing.

Groaning, I search for my phone knowing who is calling me. All my brothers have a certain ringtone, so I know who it is when the phone starts blaring and I need to know who to kill.

“Sorry Birdy, I gotta take this,” I say, digging the phone out of the pocket inside my cut. Swiping my finger across the screen I put it to my ear. “What’s going on Prez?”

“Need you at the clubhouse. We have a situation here,” Stoney says harshly.

“Got it,” I state before disconnecting. Sighing, I put the phone in my jeans pocket and fasten the button while I meet Raven’s gaze. “I gotta get to the clubhouse. I want you to come with me.”

“I can’t go to the clubhouse,” Raven says, her brow furrowing.

  “Why not?” I demand.

“Because I can’t,” she shrugs, turning her back on me to pull clothes out of her dresser. Placing them on top she grips the bottom of my shirt and pulls it over her head and tosses it at me. “Here, you need to get going.” I swear there was a small hint of pain in her voice.

Does she think I’m going to just walk away from her like this?

I don’t have time for drama with her right now.

Pulling the shirt over my head, I move to stand directly behind her and wrap my arms around her waist. “Look I don’t have time for an argument. I need you to come with me. I don’t know what the hell’s going on and I’m not about to leave you here exposed to any danger when I’m not here,” I growl.

“Did you forget who you're talking to?” Raven snaps, slipping out of my hold.

“No Raven, I haven’t forgotten who you are and what you're capable of. I don’t give a damn if you can handle yourself with any given situation. You're coming to the clubhouse for me. For my fuckin’ sanity. I don’t know what’s going on and I want to at least know you're safe until I do. Now get dressed. You can ride with me,” I order, trying to keep the anger from building inside me.

I know without a doubt she can handle herself if something were to happen, but fuck if I want her to have to. If she’s with me then I can protect her from the darkness. Vi told me the same as her mother has, Raven is the Dark Spirit and when unleashed she cannot be contained easily until the threat is over.

“I’m not going with you.” Raven's words were laced with venom as she glared at me.

“Birdy, you have five seconds to start getting dressed otherwise I’ll cart your ass out of here just the way you are. Naked.”

  Raven doesn’t move.

  Fine by me. “One. Two.”

  Still nothing. “Three. Four.”

Finally, she stomps her foot and turns back to her dresser to grab her clothes. Quickly she slips on a thong and bra. I readjust my cock as it hardens.

Soon as Raven’s pulled on a pair of shorts and tee shirt, I grab her hand and all but drag her to the living room.

“I need my shoes and bag,” she protests as we get to the door.

  Shit.

“Hurry up, I gotta get to the clubhouse,” I demand, becoming impatient.

“You could just go by yourself,” she huffs but goes about slipping on her running shoes and picks up a pair of flip flops. Putting them in her bag.

Not responding to her sarcasm, I grab her wrist and pull her out the door toward my bike. I’ve already wasted enough time getting her this far. Nabbing her bag, I stow it away in one of my saddlebags before throwing a leg over the bike and reaching a hand out to help Raven climb on.

Meeting her gaze over my shoulder, a sense of warmth runs through me as she takes my hand without hesitation. My woman trusts me.

Once Raven’s situated with her arms wrapped around my body, I bring my bike to life with a roar. “Keep your legs on the pegs Birdy and arms around my waist,” I call out.

“Not the first time I’ve been on a bike,” she yells, and I pray to fuckin’ God she means her father or brother’s bike. I don’t want to have to murder anyone because if I find out a name of another man, she’d ridden with her arms around, that’s what I’ll do.

Fuck. Raven has my head all fucked up, yet now that she’s mine I don’t know what I’d do without her. She’s my ol’ lady and I intend to make that known.

Something bad was about to happen, I could feel it. I don’t know what but sitting behind Blaze as he directs his bike toward the clubhouse, the air starts screaming louder at me the closer we get.

  Should I warn him?

As we pull into the parking lot. I unwrap my arms from about his waist and stand. Lifting my hands to my temples I do my best to push the screams out.

“You okay, Birdy?” Blaze asks. The soothing tone of his voice does something to me as he reaches up to cup my cheeks. It’s as if he’s easing the pain consuming me from the screams of the wind.

“Yeah I’m okay now. You umm, you know who my mom is,” I state more than ask a question and wait for him to answer. When he nods his head, I meet his gaze. “Well I have some of those gifts and all the way over here the air around us was screaming. It still is. Something’s not right. I just can’t tell what the culprit is.” I’m sure he probably thinks I’m crazy right now.

“I’m sure everything’s okay,” he says, pulling me into his arms. Hugging me tight.

“I don’t think so.” I close my eyes soaking in his warmth.

“Come on let’s get inside. We’ll talk more about this after I see what’s going on with Stoney.” Keeping an arm firmly wrapped around my waist Blaze guides us into the clubhouse.

By the time we step through the main door my legs are weak from the intensity of the screams and he’s all but having to hold me up. This is why I hate my gifts. It’s nothing more than a curse along with why I’ve never wanted to be with anyone.

You wanted to be with Blaze. You’re in love with him.

  Don’t start with me.

Well it’s true. That’s why you married him last night.

I don’t even remember last night.

Yes, you do if you think long and hard, you’ll remember everything. He’s your strength like your papa is your momma’s, he holds her up when it becomes too much.

&nb
sp; Shaking my head, I try to clear my mind of all thoughts.

As the door behind us shuts, the screams stop abruptly at the same time fury begins pouring off of Blaze. It all but burns my skin.

“What the fuck is going on here?” he demands, releasing me as he steps forward blocking my view of the room.

Glancing around him, I find Stoney and his ol’ lady Rachel standing in the middle of the room with another woman. A very pregnant woman.

When she turns all the way around, I recognize her as one of the bitches that caused issues with Tracker and Vicky.

  Dixie.

“Blaze,” she says my man’s name in greeting like it was an everyday thing while running toward him. Wrapping her arms around him I wait for him to push her off. “I’m so glad you came. I need your help. Please I can’t do this all alone,” she sobs into his chest.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” he demands finally pushing her away from him gently.

“Our baby,” she murmurs, placing her hands on her stomach while tilting her head up to meet him with tear filled eyes.

Deception is pouring off her and I know she’s lying through her teeth.

“Baby?” Blaze mutters as the fury in him drains away and turns to not only fear but confliction.

I hope he doesn’t believe this baby is his. He needs to see her for who she really is. Blaze is smarter than that. I know that much for sure.

  Don’t I?

“Yes, Blaze, this baby is yours.” Dixie reaches out and grabs one of Blaze's hands to place on her stomach.

Shit she is really playing this hand like a fiddle.

Glancing around the room, I can see that everyone seems to want to believe this claim. Well besides Rachel who has her arms crossed and is glaring daggers at the back of the woman’s head.

“I don’t think so Dixie,” Blaze says, clearing his throat as he pulls his hand away. “I didn’t fuck you without a condom.”

“Condoms don’t always work. Besides don’t you remember that last time we were together the condom broke,” she whispers innocently.

“We didn’t have a condom break. That’s bullshit. What do you want Dixie?” he demands. His tone harsher now.

“I want you Blaze to help with our child. I’ll prove it to you if I must. Here,” she says pulling out an envelope handing it to Blaze.

  “What’s this?”

“It’s a letter from the lab where I’d set up an appointment for a DNA test. All you have to do is go in, give a sample and you’ll know the truth in about a week,” Dixie states like she has nothing to hide.

“Brother, I think you should do the test,” Stoney says calmly from where he was standing.

“Fine,” Blaze snaps, snatching the envelope from Dixie. Till we have proof. I want her in one of the spare rooms and a prospect on her,” Blaze demands.

“Wouldn’t have it any other way man,” Stoney states nodding his head.

“Why can’t I stay in your room with you?” Dixie whines, reaching out to put her hand on Blaze's arm.

“Because, one I don’t want your ass anywhere near me and two my ol’ lady wouldn’t appreciate it,” he says stepping out of her reach as he reaches behind him to grab hold of my arm and pulls me into his side.

“Your ol’ lady?” Dixie seethes, her face turning red with anger.

“Yeah Dixie, I’m his ol’ lady. How far along are you? Do you need anything?” I ask sweetly ready to expose her for her lies but I know I’ll have to wait.

“I’m seven months pregnant and I could really use a bottle of water, if you don’t mind,” Dixie says with her head held high.

“Sure, no problem. Make yourself at home. Maybe we can talk about custody and all that stuff while Blaze goes and does the lab work.”

“I’m not talking to you about any of this. This is mine and Blaze’s child. You have nothing to do with him,” Dixie snaps.

“See that’s where you’re wrong Dixie. This baby, if and that’s a major if, it is indeed Blaze’s child then I’ll be a part of its life. But I gotta say sweetheart that deception is just pouring off you like a waterfall. I don’t believe you for a minute,” I say tilting my head to meet Blaze’s gaze. His eyes narrow as he stares at me while taking in what I just said. I know he’ll understand what I’m saying and the truth behind it.

  This child isn’t his.

  “Birdy,” he murmurs.

“I can feel it. Go take care of this and you’ll have your proof, but I’m telling you now deception is swirling around her. I bet if I really opened my mind, I’d see even more than just the lies,” I whisper loud enough for only him to hear. I don’t want everyone to know about this. They’ll think I’m a freak.

Nodding his head, Blaze leans in to press a kiss to my lips gently.

“I don’t need the lab work to prove anything. I believe you when you say it,” he says pressing his forehead to mine.

“You should still do it. You don’t want her putting your name on the birth certificate,” I suggest.

“Alright. Want to come with me?” he asks.

“I’ll stay here to keep an eye on her. I don’t want her getting any ideas,” I say giving a sideways glance to Dixie who is glaring at us.

“I’m standing right here, and this is Blaze’s baby whether you like it or not,” she huffs crossing her arms over her chest as she cocks her hip out.

“I don’t care if you are or not bitch,” I state, pulling away from Blaze to face her. “You may be pregnant, but it’s not Blaze’s. Get that through your damn head now.”

“Raven back away,” Vicky says firmly from behind me.

Glancing over my shoulder I meet her gaze. She can read me as well as I can read her. “I’m not going to do anything,” I mutter.

“You say that now. Come on. I’ll sit with you and you can tell me all about that new tattoo on your neck while the guys deal with this,” she states while plucking Jamie from Tracker’s arms and cuddling him to her chest.

The sense of calm pouring off her eases me. This is why we’ve always made the perfect duo. She’s the silence to my darkness.

Just as it seems Blaze is the strength that holds me when I’m at my weakest point.

Damn that’s a hard pill to swallow.

  Blaze

Emotions I hadn’t felt in a very long time pour through me. When we’d gotten to the clubhouse and Raven had looked to be in pain, I knew she needed me to be strong for her. I knew because of Fury. He’d explained to me before even Raven confessed to her gifts.

I have no doubts in what she’s feeling. After seeing her mom in action, I know what she says is true.

Walking into the clubhouse and seeing Dixie standing there pregnant, claiming the child is mine, I didn’t know what to think. Fear was the first thing to come to mind. I didn’t want more children. Not after losing Laura, and even if I did have any other children it’d be with only one woman.

  Raven.

After Dixie sobbed and asked about staying in my room, I started to see the pieces all fall into place. She’s trying to play me.

I hadn’t seen her in a long ass time. Well I guess you could say seven or eight months. I’d gone to one of the local bars around here to get away from Raven and my feelings for her when I ran into Dixie. She’d let me fuck her behind the bar before I left her standing there with her skirt still up over her ass.

Now here she is, trying to play me.

  Why?

I don’t know. Maybe because she was booted for fuckin’ with Tracker and Vi. Or just out of pure hatred of her heart for not getting what she wanted in the first place.

Either way that shit ain’t gonna fly.

Then Raven said what she said about deception and I knew her words were true. She didn’t look hurt by the fact I’d gotten another woman pregnant. No, she was pissed and ready to commit murder. I could see it in her eyes.

If not for Vi stepping up when she did, I’m sure Raven would have put Dixie down
until the baby was born then she’d probably kill the woman. My woman can be a scary bitch when she wants to be, and I’ve only ever seen her like this once before.

The night at the hospital when she’d been on the rooftop lying in wait.

I’d been furious with her but since then I’ve come to terms knowing the two women are fearless when it comes to what they do.

“Come on brother, we’ll go with you,” Stoney says as he steps toward me along with Tracker and Ranger.

“I’m good. I’ll go get this done and be right back. Just have someone keep an eye on the bitch,” I say.

“Nah not happenin’ brother. We’re goin’ with you. I know something isn’t right here,” my Prez states, shaking his head. “Besides, I heard what Raven said about deception.”

Yeah, everyone heard but they don’t know about her gifts. They just know her mother is called a healer.

“Fine, I just need to get out of here, get this shit done and get back here to my ol’ lady,” I growl, fists clenching at my sides.

“Yeah about that Blaze, what the fuck? When did that happen?” Tracker asks grinning.

“Last night,” I respond with a grin.

“What the hell? She was going out on a date with some douche last night?” Tracker chuckles.

“I know. Let’s just say I intervened on the date, kicked him to the curb and finished the night by making Raven mine, finally.” I shrug as I head toward the door.

“I don’t even want to know the rest of that story. Just know this, hurt her and brother or not I’ll have to beat the hell out of you. Can’t kill ya cause you’re my best friend and all but I won’t have to. Fury and Pit will take care of that.” Slapping my back Tracker shakes his head as we walk through the door together.

“I wouldn’t worry about anyone else hurting you but the woman herself. Did you see her face before Vi spoke up? Talk about scary as fuck,” Stoney says.
