Stoney's Property (Devils Riot MC: Originals Book 1) Page 9
I let her words soak in as I held Rachel’s gaze. Now I realize exactly how much I fucked up with her. To her, she sees herself as a second thought, the last to be picked, and by me claiming her as my property, she was put at the bottom of the food chain in a sense.
Pulling her into my lap, I settle my woman so that her chest is flush with mine as she wraps her arms around my waist. “Rachel, you don’t see what I see. Not then and not now. Just because I didn’t talk to you much doesn’t mean I never saw you. Because I did. You were this beautiful spirit who several of my brothers wanted to try and get with. Tracker threatened anyone and everyone who said a word about you. Said you were only eighteen and heading off to college. If not for your cousin, I probably would have approached you,” I say, kissing the tip of her nose, each cheek, then her lips.
“Did you know I saw you once?” she murmurs.
“Saw me once what?” I ask, not understanding the question.
“With one of the clubwhores. You had her up against the wall as you fucked her.” I have to stop her from turning her head away from me.
“Baby, don’t turn your head when talking to me. We’re getting everything out on the table right now. Then after, you and I are goin’ to move forward from everything,” I say as I cup her ass in both hands.
“Why do you want me? You don’t even know me. We spent a total of maybe twenty hours together. That doesn’t make for a relationship. I didn’t even do anything with Lucien for the first six months I was with him.” I tense at her mention of Lucien.
“Rachel, I have no problem with you talking to me about that asshat, but not right now, not in this bed, and sure as hell don’t compare what you had with him to what we are,” I growl, squeezing her ass in my hands, needing her to know whose arms she was in.
“I wasn’t trying to compare you with him. I was simply stating a fact. You don’t need to go all he–man alpha on me,” she mutters.
“Well, all the same, baby, even with stating a fact, don’t do it in our bed,” I state. “Now, let me get back on track. I don’t need that much time to know when I want something. I will admit I went about it the wrong way. In my head, I saw you the same as an ol’ lady but without using the term. As many times as I’ve been to the Franklin Charter, I’ve never really paid attention to the way my brothers there are with the women in their lives. This time, though, you were in my mind constantly and as I saw them all, I knew I wanted that for myself. With you.”
“How could you want something with me? I’m not what you're used to. I look nothing like Cherry Pie or even Tiny,” she whispers.
Needing her to understand, I grip her ass and slide off the bed. Keeping her in my arms, I walk into the bathroom. I set her down on her feet and turn her to face the mirror over the sink. “Look in the mirror and tell me what you see,” I order.
Lifting her eyes from the sink, Rachel glances at herself, then meets my eyes in the reflection. “I see me. A woman with okay sized boobs, a barely there ass, a pudge I can’t seem to lose, along with more curves than I should have compared to others,” she says.
“You want to know what I see? I see a beautiful woman with fire in her eyes. A woman who would do anything to protect her kids,” I say, sliding my hands down her waist to grip the bottom of my shirt. Lifting it over her head, I bare her body for me to see in the mirror. Placing my hands on her flat stomach, I lean down to kiss the base of her neck. “This right here is nothing to worry about. You just had two babies three months ago. If your stomach were any flatter, you’d be bone thin. This is not a pudge. And even if it were, it wouldn’t make a difference.”
I pause my words as I slide my hands up her body to cup her tits. “These, baby, are more than just okay. They’re damn perfect with a little treat attached to them,” I tell her as I flick the hoops, drawing a moan out of her.
Needing to finish my point, I glide my hands down her body to her waist. “You want to know what you have over both of those women? These curves. Just enough for me to hold onto and not feel like I’ll break you. I don’t want anyone else and haven’t since I pulled you into my arms when you wrecked that truck into my clubhouse. That’s what I see, Doll, a beautiful spitfire who could rule the fuckin’ world if she wanted. And I hope you stand by me as my ol’ lady in the club,” I murmur, holding her gaze as I pepper kisses along her shoulder and run my hands over her body.
“Okay,” she whispers before turning in my arms and wrapping hers around my neck. “Are we done talking for now?” Rachel leans forward and places a kiss on my chest.
“Yeah, Doll, we can be finished talkin’ for now, but you’ll be telling me how you got past all but one camera,” I smirk and lift her into my arms. Leaving the bathroom, I carry my woman to the bed, where I plan to spend hours showing her just how beautiful she really is.

Stoney
After hours of being inside Rachel, I left her in the bed to sleep while I headed to the clubhouse to grab the twins and see to some club business.
That club business being making sure Raynor was secured in what I like to call the Pocket. It’s where we hold those, we have to question but want them to sit around for a day or two. Best part about the Pocket is unless you have a key there’s no way in or out. The key is only held by officers in the club. That and the fact they can scream as loud as they want without being heard. You can’t hear screams from underground.
Pulling into the parking lot, I park in the spot that’s saved for me and climb off. Seems the rest of my brothers are already here. Instead of heading directly inside, I head to the Pocket. I’m sure Shadow is down there with Raynor. Since transferring Shadow has proven his worth in more ways than one. It’s why I trusted him to act as my person when Rachel gave me lip that day.
Does that mean I’ll allow him or anyone to touch her? Nope that won’t ever happen. But if she were to act out of line and I weren’t here to handle it Shadow would be the man I would get to assist.
Pulling out my key, I unlock the door and am instantly regretting coming in here first. Raynor’s screams have me halting in the entrance.
Glancing around the room, I find Shadow at the tool table off to the side and Raynor strapped down to a bed that you’d usually find in an insane asylum. Blood coating his chest where his nipples used to be. Grimacing, I shake my head as I step fully into the room. “Having fun?” I ask Shadow.
“Eh, he’s a pussy, started crying the moment I cut his first nipple off,” Shadow shrugs, cleaning his blade off before putting it down. Picking up a pair of long nose pliers. Fuckin’ hell I picked a damn good time to come in here. Then again, I witnessed what Ally did to that bitch who attacked Kenny.
“I can tell he’s a pussy from the way it smells in here,” I mutter as I walk over to the tool table and grab one of the masks, we keep in here for shit like this. Due to being in the Pocket there’s not much ventilation.
“Yep he didn’t last through the breaking of his kneecap before he did that. He did say something I found very interesting,” he says, turning back toward where Raynor is laying.
“What’s that?” I pique at this statement.
“According to him Rachel wasn’t just with Lucien by coincidence,” he says moving to the end of the bed.
“What the fuck does that mean?” I growl.
Opening the pliers Shadow grips Raynor’s big toe and rips the nail right out. “Tell my Prez here what you told me,” he orders, as the asswipe screams.
“Fuck you asshole, my club’s gonna come for me,” Raynor screams.
“Fucker you’re goin’ to be dead long before they realize who has your ass,” I snap.
“I suggest you tell him what he wants to know,” Shadow says nonchalantly as he grips another toenail and rips it off.
Screaming out in pain, Raynor bows his back. Granted I know I can just have Shadow tell me what Raynor said but I want to hear it from this fucker’s mouth. Turning to the tool table I grab the pickaxe and step back over to the bed.
I hold the flat side right in front of his face. “You know with enough force this can cut right through a joint. How about I start with your hands?” I ask.
Raynor shakes his head and sings like the little bitch he is. “Fuck don’t do that shit, please. I’ll tell you. Lucien bought the little bitch from a woman,” he screams
Stilling, I remember Rachel’s and my conversation. She’d said it once before. Her mom sold her off to the highest bidder.
“Motherfucker,” I growl before lifting the pickaxe over my shoulder. Using all my strength I bring the axe down on Raynor’s neck severing his head from his body.
“Fuckin hell, Prez, you say I’m twisted in the head. At least I don’t decapitate heads,” Shadow mutters.
“Yeah, well, the fucker was in on my ol’ lady being sold. That was nothing compared to what Tracker would do when he finds out this shit. I want Nerd to find the address to Rachel’s whore of a mother,” I say through clenched teeth.
“You got it, Prez,” Shadow says.
Shaking my head, I stalk out of the Pocket. Outside, I suck in a breath of fresh air. How do I tell Rachel what her mom did? I can’t keep something like this from her, yet I don’t want to see the pain in her eyes. Thanks to that bitch of a mom, my woman has felt unworthy of anything for most of her life.
“Yo, Prez, you got a minute?” I hear Tracker call from next to his bike.
Clearing my throat, I rake a hand through my hair and head his way, “Yeah what’s up?” I ask.
“I was about to head to your place when I saw your bike figured you were in the Pocket,” Tracker says pulling out one of his cigarettes. “Anyways there’s something I want to show you. After you left us Rachel went back in the house and pulled out a bunch of shit from a hidey hole.”
Interesting.
“What was it,” I ask.
“Let me grab it out of the moving truck before Cane and Neo head to your place,” Tracker states. Nodding I walk with him as we go to the truck. What is it that he needs to show me? It better not be something fucked up.
Neo was just getting ready to get in the driver’s seat when Tracker opened the passenger door.
“Neo wait an hour before you head to my place,” I order. I need to grab the twins and I don’t want anyone at my house with Rachel while she’s sleeping.
“You got it, Prez,” Neo says and backs away from the truck.
Tracker reaches across the seat and grabs one of the books. “Take a look at this,” he says handing me the book.
Opening the book I see it’s a photo album scanning through the pictures I realize none of them are of her. Most of them being members of the club.
“Rachel used to love taking photographs,” he states just as I get to a picture of myself.
Holy shit.
“She took that,” I murmur more to myself than to Tracker.
“Yep” is all he says.
“She’s fuckin’ talented,” I say, glancing up at my brother.
“That she is,” Tracker nods in agreement.
“Why did you show this picture to me?” I ask.
“Because you needed to see this. Rach isn’t goin’ to show this to anyone,” he responds.
Glancing back at the book I try to remember when this picture was taken. The shades I’m wearing seem to be staring right at me.
Then it clicks this was taken the last time I saw Rachel.

Rachel
As I wake up I find myself alone in the bed, the spot where Stoney had been cold to the touch. Where did he go? Noises from the other room catch my attention.
“Fuck man watch out for the wall,” someone snaps.
“Fucker, quit rushin’ and we wouldn’t be hitting the wall,” another person gripes.
“Both of you assholes need to chill the fuck out and lower your damn voices before you wake Rachel up,” Stoney growls.
Climbing out of the bed I walk over to the dresser Stoney pulled a shirt out of yesterday and grab one to slip on. Not wanting to go out the room with nothing underneath, I grab a pair of his shorts and put them on as well.
I open the door to the room to find two massive men carrying one of the twin’s dressers.
“What’s going on?” I ask, letting everyone know I was there.
“Damnit prospects you had to wake her up didn’t you,” Stoney growls from the other side of the guys.
Glancing around them I find him standing there with both babies in his arms. Talk about a sight to see. Stoney looks damn good holding a baby in his arms let alone two.
“I was already awake when they started making a ruckus. Any way I can get by you two and to my kids really quick?” I ask the two men standing in between me and Stoney.
“Sure thing,” they say at the same time before maneuvering the dresser through the doorway next to the room I’m standing in front of.
Soon as they make it through the doorway I walk directly to Stoney and reach for my babies.
Taking Luca into my arms I lean toward Corinne and press a kiss to her cheek then repeating that with Luca. “I missed you two so so much,” I murmur, glancing between the two of them.
For babies they’re very intuitive and smile in my direction.
“I think they missed you as well,” Stoney chuckles and leans into press a kiss to my lips. “How did you sleep?” he asks.
“Like the dead,” I say smiling. It honestly was the best sleep I’ve ever had.
“Good, I’ve got the twins’ bouncers and shit in the living room why don’t you sit in there with them while I hurry Neo and Cane up,” Stoney suggests.
“Okay, that sounds good to me,” I nod.
“Good, after we get everything unloaded, I’ll show you around the house and we can order food,” he says putting his free arm around me and ushering me to the living room.
Glancing around the room, it looks more like a man cave than anything else. A brown suede sectional sits in front of the largest TV I’ve ever seen. On one side of the room is a shelving unit filled with DVDs and pictures of what looks like Horse growing up and now with his family. Other than those pictures nothing else about this room shows Stoney as a family man. In front of the sectional are all the twins’ toys and bouncers, which seem strange in here.
“If you need anything let me know,” Stoney says.
Kneeling down, Stoney puts Corinne in her bouncer. She must not have appreciated being put down because the moment Stoney stood up Corinne began crying her little eyes out. Stoney kneels back down to her and strokes her cheeks. “You’re fine, little Dove. I’m not going anywhere,” he murmurs softly to my daughter.
My heart clenches in my chest at how sweet he is to my daughter. Leaning forward, he kisses Corinne’s forehead then stands back up. Although she whimpers, she’s not crying. Reaching for Luca in my arms he places him in his own bouncer. “Watch over your sister, Chief,” he says.
“Chief?” I ask. I don’t know where he comes up with these names. I’ll have to remember to ask him.
“Yeah, Doll, Luca’s Chief and Corinne is Dove,” he clarifies as he stands back up and pulls me into his arms. “I’ll get this shit done as quickly as I can. You and these two just chill out. Watch whatever you want.” The tenderness he shows to me and my children confuses the crap out of me.
Worse, I don’t understand why he’s moving us in with him. He says he wants me but that can’t be true. Shaking my head, I sit on the floor and play with my little ones.
“Tell me something about yourself you’ve never told anyone else,” I ask as I sit Indian style on the couch with my Chinese container in hand. It’s been so long since I’ve had Chinese food. Not because I don’t like it but rather the Chinese places down in Greensville use all the same pots and pans for their food that they cook. And being allergic to anything peanut related, I couldn’t take the chance.
“Let’s see, something I’ve never told anyone about myself,” he murmurs. “There’s not much that people don’t know about me, but w
hen I’m able to, I like to go down to the beach and surf.”
“You surf?” I ask in astonishment.
“Yep,” he chuckles. “I have a house down there that I stay at when I’m there. I store my boards there. Easier to just pack a bag and ride down there. It’s a hassle when I’ve got to load everything up.”
“That’s so cool,” I say probably sounding like a high school girl just now.
“I guess,” he shrugs. “Now, tell me something. I saw the albums. How come I didn’t see a camera when we were unpacking your stuff?”
I tense at his question. “Because I don’t have one anymore,” I say honestly. I don’t want to lie to him about anything, but I also don’t want to talk about this.
“Why not?” he asks.
“Can we not talk about this right now?” I plead.
“Doll, tell me why don’t you. Your pictures are fuckin’ amazing.” His words should fill me with pride, but they don’t. I’m embarrassed that he saw images I took and loved.
“Because I lost interest,” I say, turning my head from him and placing my food on the coffee table. Standing up, I walk to the room the twins are sharing to check on them. Seeing their precious faces, I wish I did have a camera to capture the moment. I haven’t even been able to take one photo of them besides what’s on the phone Stoney gave me.
The heat of Stoney at my back sends a shiver down my spine. “Don’t walk away when we're talkin’, baby,” he whispers into my ear as he grabs my hand and pulls me from the twins' room. Directing us back to the living room, he sits down on the couch, bringing me down on top of him. Straddling his waist, I feel his dick stiffening against my core.
