Viking Page 3
I’ve every intention of proving to Fawn who she belongs to. I’m simply biding my time. I have waited seven years so far, a couple more weeks won’t hurt.
Fawn seeing other men has done nothing but piss me off repeatedly. The fact she’d blatantly cheated, disrespecting me the way she has, will come to an end. Yeah, I’ve had my cock sucked by other bitches in that time, but I didn’t fuck them.
As I drink my beer, I glance around the club. I’m proud to say Toxicity is ours. There’re two levels to the club. The bottom floor, which holds the dance floor, a stage for live bands, and a long bar. We have four bartenders at all times working the length of it. Off to one side, we’ve got tall tables with chairs for those who aren’t dancing. On the other side of the dance floor are lounge chairs for a more intimate setting. I don’t even want to think about the shit my bouncers have had to stop from happening on those chairs.
The second floor is where our DJ is set up in a little booth section. It’s also a VIP section for those associated with the club. It gives us a chance to look down at the crowd and keep an eye on shit while we’re here.
You never know what shit is gonna go down. There’re some sick-ass people in this world and my club ain’t about to let anything bad happen while in this establishment.
“You good, Prez?” Ice asks, bracing his forearms on the railing—looking down at all the people dancing.
“Yeah, I’m good,” I nod, turning slightly to look over at my VP. Ice isn’t just the VP of this club, he’s my best friend and Fawn’s cousin.
“Crowded tonight,” he grunts, jerking his chin at the dancers.
“What do you expect? It’s the weekend,” I chuckle, straightening to my full height and scanning over the crowd.
Peering down at all the people on the dance floor, I scan the crowd looking for I don’t even know. Spotting a blonde-haired beauty, I narrow my eyes as I take her in.
Shit. What is she doing here?
Anger boils inside when I notice her dancing provocatively with another man.
“Fuck,” Ice mutters. He must have spotted her too.
“You know she was coming tonight?” I demand, turning from the sight of my woman to look at my VP.
“Yeah, I knew she was coming here. Her friends were throwing her a welcome home gig.” He shrugs like it’s not a big deal. “She seems to be having fun for a change.”
Now, what the hell does he mean by that. “Wanna explain?”
Ice meets my gaze and stands to his full height. “You and Fawn have a lot of shit to talk about, but I wanna clue you in on something. Not everything about my little cousin is what you think. I’m not getting in the middle of y’all’s drama anymore.”
“How the hell are you in the middle of our drama? Fuck, there ain’t anything between us for you to think that bullshit,” I growl, pissed he’d even think that.
“Wanna bet?” he smirks. “I bet you a thousand dollars, you’ll regret those words once you and Fawn actually talk.” With that, Ice turns back to watch the crowd.
Fuckin’ hell.
Glancing back down at the dance floor, my eyes go straight to where Fawn’s dancing. Even after seven years of being apart, seeing the way her body sways has my cock stiffening.
Fawn spins, laughing with her friends and something inside me snaps.
I’m done with this bullshit. Fawn’s my woman, and it’s time she takes her place where she’s supposed to be.
Stalking to the stairs, I take them two at a time, my mind on one thing right now. Soon as I’m on the first floor, I all but push everyone out of my way as I make my way to her. No one will stop me from getting to her.
Not after all this time. She’s had her fun. Now it’s time I have mine.
Chapter Five
Fawn
Spinning around with my friends on the dance floor, I can’t help but laugh. Not a fake laugh either, like I’ve done so many times over the past several years.
To my surprise, after Ice left my house earlier, my friend Janelle had called and demanded my presence or else tonight. Honestly, I’m happy I came. I don’t remember the last time I had let loose. Drinking lemon drops and dancing to my heart’s content has been a blast.
Janelle evidently put together a surprise welcome home party. She’d invited several of our friends who I haven’t really spoken to since I left. Dakota all but claimed me to himself on the dance floor. We used to hang together all the time, him, Janelle, and me. The two of them, I guess you can say, are the only ones I had kept in touch with.
Dakota’s one of those people who, when you befriend them, will always be there. That doesn’t mean he’s not mad at me for leaving. Though he had quickly got over it and even came to visit me with his partner, Bryant.
It’s a good thing Bryant isn’t a possessive he-man alpha type of man, because tonight, Dakota and I have been dancing the entire time. That is when we weren’t taking shots with everyone else.
Swaying my hips to the music, I run a hand through my hair as I close my eyes, becoming one with the beat. With my friends here, I don’t have to worry about a thing. Or it could be because the Toxic Warriors own this place.
I jump as someone behind me grips my waist tightly and starts grinding against me. Glancing over my shoulder, I don’t recognize the guy. Turning back to Dakota, I find him glaring at the stranger. Without trying to make a scene, he attempts to get me away from the guy, but he doesn’t let me go. Dakota looks up at the second floor before focusing back on me.
“Let go of me,” I snap, pushing off of him only to have him yank me back. The guy’s relentless.
“Come on, baby, you know you want to dance with me,” he snickers against my ear. “You’ve been taunting every guy here tonight with that sexy as fuck body of yours.”
I grimace at the feel of him pressing himself against my ass.
“Jackass, she said let go,” Dakota yells over the music as he attempts to shove the guy off me.
Before anyone can say anything else, I find myself ripped out of the asshole’s arms and in the arms of none other than Viking. His eyes flare wide when he glares at the guy who wouldn’t leave me alone.
“Yo, Viking, how’s it going, man? I was just havin’ a little fun,” the guy smirks, eyeing me up and down.
“Wrong fuckin’ woman, Thompson,” Viking snarls, pulling me tighter to him. “You don’t fuck with what’s mine.”
His?
“Come on, you can’t be serious,” Thompson laughs. “This bitch has been all but teasing us all damn night while dancing with this fag here.”
How dare he say that word.
Dakota makes a move to Thompson, but Bryant is there holding him back.
“I suggest you watch yourself,” Viking says, stepping in front of me, blocking my view of the asshole. “Remember this is my establishment. Now get the fuck out of my sight.”
Pivoting on his heel, Viking entwines his fingers with mine and drags me off the dance floor. My heart is beating a thousand miles a minute right now. This is not how I had figured my encounter with Viking would go when I saw him again.
Viking stalks down a hallway and through another door, slamming it closed behind us. I find myself pressed into the door peering up into a set of infuriating eyes.
“What the fuck do you think you were doing out there?” he demands, getting in my face. “You know, don’t answer that.”
I open my mouth to tell him off, but Viking slams his mouth to mine, thrusting his tongue into my mouth for a kiss unlike any other.
Oh. My. God.
My body goes up in flames with need.
Wrapping my arms around Viking’s neck, I hold him close. Hands roam over me, down to my ass, palming my cheeks. Suddenly he lifts me off my feet, and my dress rides up, exposing my ass as I wrap my legs around his hips
Viking breaks his mouth from mine and shoves his face in my neck—licking and sucking at where my neck and shoulder meet.
“Viking,” I moan, grinding mys
elf against him.
Grunting incoherently, Viking keeps me supported against the door as he releases himself. The thong I’d worn with my dress is ripped as he pulls it to the side only to slam home inside me.
I cry out at the invasion. Clutching at his shoulders, I hold on as he thrust wildly into my entrance, ravaging me like a beast.
He lifts his head from my neck to meet my eyes. “Fuck, Dollface, you’re as tight as I remember,” he growls, thrusting rapidly inside me.
“Viking,” I pant, feeling myself about to come.
“Come for me, baby. Come all over my cock,” he commands, gripping my ass tighter.
I give in to his demand and come, crying out his name while sinking my nails into his shoulders.
Viking slams his mouth on mine, fucking my mouth with his tongue erotically as he follows right behind, finding his release.
Slowing his thrusts, he lifts his head breaking our kiss, and meets my eyes. “Fuckin’ missed you, Dollface.”
Holy shit, the look he’s giving me is enough to send shivers of ecstasy down my spine.
Slipping out of my sheath, Viking places me back on my feet and shoves himself back into his jeans. I readjust my dress, kicking my thong off, considering it pointless now.
“From now on, baby, the only fucker you touch is me,” Viking says harshly, breaking through my orgasmic haze.
“Pardon?” I ask, furrowing my brows.
“You heard me. I’m done with the games. You’re home now, means you can start acting like my ol’ lady,” he declares, pulling me into him.
“I’m not your ol’ lady, Viking. I never agreed to be your ol’ lady,” I protest and push against his chest. I’m not going to have him manhandling me.
“Dollface, you did fuckin’ so. Seven motherfuckin’ long years ago when you married me,” Viking announces, stopping me from fighting him any further.
Um, what did he just say?
Why would he say we’re married?
Oh God.
I know Viking. He’s not a liar. He’d never lie to me. Not ever.
Chapter Six
Viking
Fuck me.
I’ve missed this woman in my arms right now. I didn’t mean to fuck her against the door like a brute, but I couldn’t help myself.
Only now she’s staring back at me in fear after I tell her she’s my fuckin’ wife. Like she didn’t know.
“I don’t believe you,” she whispers, shaking her head in denial.
“Think what you want, Fawn, but the truth still remains,” I say harshly. Her wanting to deny the fact she married me pisses me the hell off. If I have to, I’ll fuckin’ prove it. In fact, I think that’s exactly what I’ll do. Tugging her hand, I pull her to the door. “Come on, let’s get out of here.”
I head to the back exit rather than take her through the crowd. It’s closer to my bike going this way. Fawn doesn’t fight me, which is unusual in itself.
We’ll get to the bottom of what’s going on between the two of us.
Seven Years Ago . . .
“Come on, let’s go in.” Fawn swings her leg over, stands on unsteady legs, and laughs.
“Why the hell are we gonna go in there?” I ask, putting the kickstand down and hopping off to stand in front of her.
“Because I’ve been in love with you since I can remember, and I want to be yours,” she says brazenly, and I wonder if she’d say it when she wasn’t drunk. I highly doubt it.
There’s no way Fawn would’ve openly expressed her emotions. Grinning at her, I cup the side of her face and brush a few stray locks behind her ear. “I know you’ve been in love with me since you were a kid. You didn’t hide the fact very well.”
“I thought I did,” she murmurs breathlessly.
“I’ll clue you in on something, Dollface, I’ve been in love with you as well,” I rasp, sliding my fingers through her hair.
“You have?” Fawn’s eyes seem to shimmer in the night sky.
“Yeah, Fawn, so if you wanna go in there, we will. But there’s no going back,” I declare. She wants to do this and I will, because she’s mine. She’s always been mine.
“Then come on, marry me, Roth. I want to be yours,” she says, wrapping her arms around my neck.
Leaning into her, I rest my forehead against hers. “You got it, Dollface.”
Pulling up in front of the house, I put the kickstand down and hold my hand out to help Fawn climb off. I hop off, keeping her hand in mine, and guide her up to the house. I reach into my pocket and pull my keys out. Quickly unlocking the door, I step inside. Spinning on my heel, I wait to see what she’s going to say next.
Fawn steps over the threshold, eyeing me cautiously. “How do you have a key to my house?”
“Babe, really?” I chuckle, crossing my arms.
“Yes, really. Ice told me no one else has a key, but him.” Fawn narrows her eyes, going into defense mode.
“Why don’t you come inside, close the door, and I’ll tell you?” I suggest.
The wheels in her head are churning overtime. She’s trying to figure out what I’m playing at. Too bad for her, it’s the other way around.
Fawn slowly closes the door without taking her eyes off me. It’s almost like she’s watching to make sure the wolf doesn’t attack her, and she’s the lamb.
Leaving her standing in the foyer, I head deeper into the house and head for the closet. I know Ice had told her it is the only place in the house off-limits. I find the key on my ring and open it. Unlocking the door, I turn the knob and open the door.
“What are you doing?” she asks, coming to stand right behind me.
“Answering all of your questions,” I state, reaching into the closet for the folder I need. I might not have lived in this house yet, but I did all the damn work restoring it. It was a dump when I had bought it. Now it’s in pristine condition. Facing Fawn, I hand her the folder. “Your answers.”
Fawn’s brows furrow as she takes the folder from my hands and opens it. I don’t have to wait more than a second before she gasps, seeing the first page. “See, proof you’re married to me, Dollface.”
Fawn raises her head slowly and meets my eyes. “Why don’t I remember this? I don’t remember us getting married.”
Now it’s my turn to frown. “What do you mean you don’t remember? It was you wantin’ us to get married, Fawn. I gave you what you wanted.”
“Viking, I’m saying I don’t remember. I don’t have any recollection of marrying you. Nada. Zip. Nothing,” Fawn screams, closing the folder in her hand and waving it around. “That’s the day I graduated high school. That day is hazy at best as it is. All I know is the next day I woke up in your bed, naked, and you claiming me as yours.”
Pivoting on her heel, Fawn storms off in opposite direction heading for the back of the house, stopping only to take her heels off.
“That day is hazy at best as it is. All I know is the next day I woke up in your bed, naked, and you claiming me as yours.” Fawn’s words spin in my head. What the hell does she mean?
There’s only one conclusion coming to mind, and it’s not a good answer. In fact, it pisses me off because it means my fuckin’ woman had to have been drugged. But how? For that matter, when? And by who? Ice and I’d kept an eye on her all night. The only ones who were there that night had been from her school.
Fuck.
This just got a hell of a lot more complicated than I had thought. Still, it doesn’t change the fact, Fawn’s mine, and I’m not letting her get away from me this time around. We’re gonna work this shit out once and for all.
Chapter Seven
Fawn
Married.
I’m married to Viking.
No, wait. I’m married to Roth Williamston.
Oh. My. God. Can the earth just swallow me whole right now?
Why can’t I remember marrying him? I know the papers aren’t fakes, because Viking is not one to lie. He’s never lied to me.
Walking away
from Viking, I kick off my heels and stagger over to the door. Opening the door, I keep my hand on it. Trailing my eyes from the floor up Viking’s magnificent body, I lock eyes with him. “You need to leave.”
Viking’s nostrils flare and he narrows his gaze on me. “Fawn, close the fuckin’ door. I’m not about to leave now.”
“Please, this is a lot to take in,” I murmur, my breath hitching in my chest as if I were being suffocated. “I need to think. This isn’t something easy to take in . . .”
“You think this isn’t easy?” Viking snarls, interrupting me. Stalking over, he rips the door from my hand and slams it shut. The next thing I know, he’s throwing me over his shoulder.
“Viking, put me down,” I screech, hitting his ass. “This is ridiculous.”
I kick and scream while pushing against his ass. Viking doesn’t give in to my demands for him to put me down. Instead, he carries me through the house up to my room.
Viking tosses me onto the bed and pins me to it with his body straddling mine. “You think it isn’t easy?” He snarls, pressing his face into mine. “Let me tell you what’s not easy, knowing your fuckin’ ol’ lady—your wife—is seeing other fuckers.”
My breath escapes, leaving me altogether. He thinks I’ve been with other men. I mean, I’ve gone out with them as friends, but that’s all they were. Besides, the guys I’ve been around were gay. I find it easier to be around them than straight men. They don’t pressure me for anything I don’t have to give.
“I wasn’t with other men,” I whisper, tears welling in my eyes.
“Bullshit, I know you have been. I’ve checked up on you over the past seven years. They’ve reported you being with other men,” he grinds out. “Tell me did you fuck them? Let them sink into what’s mine and fuck you.”
