He’d taken off with Shadow to watch his back ten minutes ago and should be back any minute. I’d seen Torben come in and out of the clubhouse, but Jackal has yet to be seen. I’ll be sure to grab him once this fucker is dealt with and I have Luca and Corinne back.
“Prez, you ready?” Coyote mutters as he points out the two figures heading our way.
“You know it. They best hope those two aren’t hurt,” I growl, pulling my gun out.
Moving quickly, knowing we have a short time limit, we run for the front door and throw it open. “Where the fuck are my kids?” I snarl, aiming my gun at the first asshole and pulling the trigger, hitting him square between his eyes.
“Who do you think you are?” another fucker yells as he stands.
“I’m your worst fuckin’ nightmare,” I grind out.
“What the fuck is going on in here?” Torben snaps as he enters the room holding Luca in his arms.
“I’ll tell you what’s going on, you asswipe. You can hand Luca over to me, then tell me where my little girl is in this piece of shit building,” I demand.
Torben laughs maniacally. “You think you can come in here and I’ll just hand you my nephew’s kids? Fuck you, motherfucker.”
Pointing my gun at one of Torben’s men, I pull the trigger. The loud noise causes Luca to start screaming.
“Prez, we need to hurry. Remember, time’s ticking,” Blaze mutters.
Nodding, I point my gun at Torben’s leg and pull the trigger. As he staggers back, I advance on him and snatch Luca out of his arms as I punch him square in the jaw. I shouldn’t be surprised how easily it was to get Luca away from him. The fucker is higher than a kite right now.
“Where the fuck is my daughter?” I snarl.
“Prez, hand Luca to me,” Horse says firmly. I know I could easily trust Luca in the hands of any of my brothers, but my son will always be my first choice.
Turning slightly, I hand Horse his little brother. “Take him outside now,” I ordered.
“You got it,” Horse says, then tells Dragon and Gadget to come with him. Those three can protect Luca while the rest of us deal with this mess.
“I won’t ask you again,” I mutter, holding my gun against the fucker’s head.
My gut tightens at the malicious grin that crosses Torben’s face. “She’s not here. In fact, I never saw the little cunt. Her uncle said he’d handle the transaction for me. Since Lucien had already sold her off, it worked for me. That little cunt should be in the hands of her owner within the next week or so. Good luck finding Jackal,” he cackles.
“You sick fucker,” I roar as I pull the trigger. Instead of killing him with a bullet to his head like I wanted, I shot him in his stomach. He’ll burn his way into hell. Turning to my brothers, I order them to maim every single one of these fuckers so no one escapes. I don’t give a rat’s ass about searching this place. Rachel told me about the bitches here, how they’re just as vile. Let them burn with the rest of them. Won’t bother me one bit.
As the four of us make our way out the front door, we hear the explosions of the three bombs Gadget set as they detonate one after another. Flames heat our backs as my brothers and I stalk to the far end of the parking lot where both my sons are.
“Where’s Corinne?” Horse asks as he hands Luca over to me.
I don’t answer right away, but rather hug Luca to my chest. “We need to find Jackal. Those fuckers sold Corinne,” I say through clenched teeth.
“What the fuck?” Dragon rasps.
“Let’s get back to the bikes. We’re gonna need to grab a rental and car seat for little man here. And I’m sure he needs to eat,” I say, needing a moment to let this fuckin’ information sink in.
Torben said Jackal was Corinne’s uncle, but that’s not possible. No, Rachel was an only child. Rosco wouldn’t have kept something like another kid from us. No, he loved Rachel to pieces and he’d have done the same for any other kids he had. Then again, what if Rachel’s bitch of a mother had another kid?
“Blaze, get Nerd on the phone. I want everything he can find on Jackal from the time he was fuckin’ born ‘til the moment he became a ghost. Also, tell him to put a mark on Jackal’s back so other clubs will be looking for him,” I order.
“Anything else I can do for you, Pops?” Horse asks.
“Not right now. Get home. If I need y’all, I’ll call. Right now, I need to get this little guy home to Rachel. She’s goin’ to lose her mind when I tell her about Corinne,” I mutter, shaking my head.
“Alright, let me know if you need anything. I’ll be here, same as every other brother you have. We’ll find that asshole and get my little sister back. I’ll also give Dean a call when I get back to the clubhouse. He should be able to help,”
“Thank you,” I nod, clapping him on the back before he heads to his bike followed by Dragon and Gadget.
As soon as they're gone, I turn to Shadow and hand him Luca. “I can’t go back until I have Corinne. Take Luca home and I’ll call Rachel as soon as I can,” I instruct.
“Prez, come on, you need to be the one to do this, not me,” Shadow argues.
Shaking my head, I let my defenses down for a moment. “I already fucked up where Rachel’s concerned. I can’t fail her again. I promised I’d bring both our kids home. This is me keeping that promise,” I explain.
I’ll never allow anything to come between Rachel and I again. She’s more than property, or an ol’ lady, and I realized this when I heard her tears through the phone. She’s my fuckin’ world, and I’ll die before I let anything or anyone else harm her.
I just need to find our daughter first.

Rachel
“I wish I were out there helping you,” I murmur into the phone, talking to Stoney. I’ve done the same thing every day for the past week since Shadow handed Luca over to me and explained what was going on.
I usually only get to speak to him once a day, and that’s after I leave him a voicemail. I’d made sure to threaten a certain part of his body if he did not call me. A couple hours later, he’d called and I’d laid into him, telling him he was not leaving me out of this, that she was my daughter and I needed to protect her. I also demanded he tell me everything he knew so far.
When he told me what Torben said about Jackal being the kids’ uncle, I’d told him everything the evil man said to me. Neither of us understood how he was my brother. I don’t even want to think the possibility of his connection to me is true.
“Doll, as much as I wish you were here with me right now, I need you at the clubhouse where I know you're safe with Luca,” Stoney says, drawing my attention back to the conversation at hand.
“But—”
“No buts, Rachel,” he interrupts me. “For my sanity, please. Besides, your injuries would limit what all you’re able to do,” he says calmly.
“Fine,” I huff in frustration, falling back on the pillows in bed but mindful of Luca lying next to me asleep.
Since Shadow handed him to me, he’s been more demanding than normal, between refusing to sleep in his pack-and-play and not wanting to take his bottle unless he’s held a certain way. And at night, he won’t fall asleep easily unless he hears Stoney’s voice.
“How are you feeling?” he asks, breaking the silence. Although neither of us have mentioned the elephant in the room, I know we need to discuss what happened. Then again, I’m not sure I want to because that night those two women not only got their asses handed to them, they were raped, along with Summer, Beanie, and Candy.
All of them are in rough shape, but not as bad as Tiny. She might be lucky to not have been in the same predicament as the others, but she was beaten to within an inch of her life. They ended up having to take her in for surgery due to internal bleeding. Right now, she’s hooked up to ventilators and monitors while she’s being kept in a medically induced coma.
Clearing my throat, I glance down at my leg. “I’m hurting still but it gets better each day,” I say. I sho
uld be grateful I wasn’t as bad off as some. “I feel responsible for all of this happening to your club.”
This is the first time since everything happened that I’ve admitted this aloud.
“Doll,” Stoney rasps. “None of this was your fault. You were protecting yourself, Luca, and Corinne by getting them out of that situation. If it’s anyone’s fault, it was mine. I should have left more of my brothers at the clubhouse, but my head was up my ass. I was pissed over what happened earlier in the day and the fact we didn’t get a chance to resolve the issues between the two of us. Telling you now, baby, I don’t like having shit between us, same as I don’t like having a phone to my ear instead of you in my arms.”
My breath seems to get lodged in my throat at his statement. “I don’t like it any more than you do. But that doesn’t mean I’m over what I walked in on,” I say, letting the dice fall where they may. I didn’t want to have this conversation over the phone, but I guess that’s how it’s going to happen.
“I know you’re not and I don’t expect you to be. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn’t be either. I’ve had a lot of time to think about the situation and the things I know you don’t know about it.”
“What don’t I know about it?” I interrupt, my head starting to fill with all different scenarios, of what could’ve happened if I hadn’t opened the door when I did. Would he have joined them on the couch or come to me after they got him all worked up?
“Rachel, I don’t know what you’re thinking right now, but whatever negative shit you're thinking, you need to let it go. I’m gonna tell you something right here and now, so listen closely, baby,” he stresses.
“I’m listening,” I murmur.
“When Cherry Pie and Peaches knocked on the door, they had tears in their eyes and asked to talk to me. So, I allowed them in. As they sat down on the couch, I knew something was up with them and I know I should have told them to leave then, but then they started fuckin’ with each other. Yeah, I fuckin’ watched. And I’ll tell you this too, it was hot. I’ve always liked watching women fuckin’ with each other. There’s just something about the way women work each other that is erotic, I guess you can say.
“Did watching them turn me on? Yeah, I got hard. Did I intend to join them? Fuck no. Should I have stopped them as soon as they started? Probably, but I didn’t and that’s on me.”
“If they turned you on, what were you planning to do?” I ask, my stomach churning at what he might say.
“Honestly, I thought about finding you and fuckin’ you. Watching them, all I could think about was you. I know you don’t want to hear that, but it’s the truth. All I could think about was seeing your face as pleasure consumed you. But the more I think about it and have thought about it, I could never stand the thought of another man or woman touching you,” Stoney says.
“Now for the part you don’t know and will probably be livid over. They’d come to me no more than five minutes before you opened the door. Shadow can confirm this next part, but I hope you believe me ‘cause, Rachel, I’d never lie to you. They overheard you asking Tiny to watch the twins so you could spend a little time with me. Those two decided to set me up,” he states.
I take a moment to process his words, thinking back to right before I opened his office door. Those two conniving bitches had been sitting near the bar when I’d asked Tiny. “Oh my god, when I get my hands on them, I’m going to kick their asses,” I snap.
“Take it from that little announcement you realize what Shadow told me,” Stoney asks inquisitively.
“Yeah, I have. I’m still hurt, but the fact is you sat there and watched them. If the roles had been reversed, you would have committed murder by now. And though I’ve thought about it multiple times, I’ve held back only because of what they went through. But now, I’m telling you this, Stoney, they are gone from this clubhouse. I don’t care how good they suck dick or fuck each other. I don’t want to see them. Send them to Dolly’s Playhouse if that makes everyone happy, but if I find out they give you any more private shows, I’ll kill them and castrate you,” I state, meaning every word of it.
Stoney’s chuckles fill the line. “You got it, Doll. I’ll shoot a text to Tracker so he can get rid of them before coming here,” he says.
“Why would he be coming to you?” I ask.
“That’s something I don’t want to have to tell you right now, baby,” he grumbles, and I take the hint. He’ll tell me when he can.
“Okay, well, I will let you get back to what you're doing. Call me if there’s any news, please,” I demand.
“You’ll be the first I call,” he states. “Love you, Doll. Hug Luca for me.” With that, he hangs up. Guess he’ll never allow me to give him a proper goodbye.

Stoney
This past week has been my own living hell as each day passed and still no word from anyone on Jackal or Corinne. I’d even put a reward out for any information. I’ve barely slept, having only napped when I had no choice.
Last night, however, Horse and Tracker demanded I take one of the guest rooms and crash after partaking in the fun of ridding the world of one more evil sadistic fuck who deserved nothing less than what he got.
Soon as Tracker showed, he informed me both Peaches and Cherry Pie have been moved into one of the spare rooms at Dolly’s Playhouse. That means when I finally make it back to the clubhouse, Rachel will be at ease for the most part. I know I still have to make things up with her, but at least we got some things out in the open the night before last.
With time slipping through my fingers, I’m running out of options. Where the fuck could this asshole be hiding with my daughter?
As I get out of the shower and wrap my towel around my waist, I can hear my burner ringing on the other side of the door. I throw the door open and grab the thing before it can stop.
“Stoney,” I say as I put it to my ear.
“You lookin’ for someone in particular?” the voice on the other end asks.
“Depends if you have who I’m looking for,” I growl.
“Well, let’s see, I’m looking at a baby girl around four or five months old with brown hair and a mark on the back of her head,” the man says, describing Corinne.
“Yeah, that would be my daughter,” I snapped.
“Shame you allowed her to be taken from you. Do you think you deserve to have her back?” the man asks.
“Who the fuck are you?” I grind out, pulling my jeans on and finding my shirt.
“Name’s Venom, President of the Royal Bastards Elizabeth City Charter. Now, you answer my question— do you think you deserve to have her back?” Venom says harshly.
Venom, fuck, I know who the fucker is. He’s a mean son of a bitch. Ruthless in the way he handles business and takin’ care of his enemies. Rumor is he had a wife once. Don’t know much else about him. I may not have dealt with him and his club, but I’d never had a reason to encounter them.
Grinding my teeth, I pull the phone from my ear for a brief second to gain some control. With my other hand, I pinch the bridge of my nose before putting the phone back to my ear. “That’s my fuckin’ daughter and I want her back. Her family wants her back. Now, I suggest you either bring her to me or tell me where to meet you,” I say through clenched teeth.
“You all may want her back, but do you deserve to have her back? As I see it, you failed to protect her once. What’s to say it won’t happen again?” Venom scoffs.
“Look, motherfucker, I don’t fuckin’ know you and you sure as hell don’t know me. Corinne isn’t mine by blood, but she is my daughter. Just like her brother. I’d die before ever seeing her hurt. I haven’t even been home since the day she and her brother were kidnapped. I haven’t seen my ol’ lady, who was beaten. Or been able to get shit under control there because I’m not going home without my daughter,” I snap, sitting on the side of the bed and putting my boots on.
“You can meet me at the Eure at noon,” Venom states before disconnecting.r />
Pulling the phone from my ear, I shove it in my pocket and pull out my everyday use phone. I shoot a quick text to both Tracker and Blaze, telling them to meet me outside. Shoving my keys and wallet into my pocket and heading for the door, I know I won’t be able to ride given the fact if Venom’s right, I should be getting Corinne back. I make my way toward Horse’s room to grab the keys to his truck. It’ll be easier for him and I to swap for now and he can bring my bike home for me.
“What’s up, Pops?” he grunts as he cracks the door open.
“Need the keys to your truck,” I say.
“You find her?” he asks.
“More than likely,” I nod.
“Want me to ride with you?”
“No. If it’s legit and I get her, I’m heading straight back to the clubhouse. I’ll need you to bring my bike and get your truck,” I state.
“At least that’s a fair trade. Don’t fuck my truck up,” Horse grumbles as he moves back from the door, leaving it cracked open. A moment later, he’s back and we switch keys.
“Good thing you leave your truck here,” I smirk, knowing his reasons.
“Yeah, it keeps Kenny out of the driver’s seat. She has her own vehicle. I don’t need her driving my girl,” Horse grunts.
“Hey, I heard that, jerk,” Kenny says loud enough for us to hear.
“Love you too, Sweet girl,” Horse grins.
He may love Kenny and his kids, but nobody is allowed to drive his truck or ride his bike. Well, besides me, and that’s because I’m his dad.
“I’ll call you later,” I say as I turn to leave.
As soon as I’m outside, I find both Tracker and Blaze sitting on their bikes, ready to go. I’d sent Coyote home earlier in the week to help handle a run we had scheduled.
“What’s goin’ on, Prez,” Blaze asks as I walk past them to get to Horse’s truck parked at the end of the lot.
