My Husband – For years, he’s worked himself to death to give our family everything we needed or wanted. He encourages me every day to follow my dreams just like he did the day he told me to take the chance. He’s my best friend, and I wouldn’t know what to do without him. Or the fact he listens to my non-stop rambling or my always having a notepad with me in case I need to write something down that pops into my head.

My Three Kiddos – Every day, I watch them grow up into little people who want to take over the world. Well, in their own way, that is. They are inspirations all by themselves. They love to find out what I’m working on and give me ideas. One of my favorite things is to ask them what I should have someone do or how they should act. Some of their ideas are wicked.

My Alphas – You guys rock big time! Thank you all for being the first to read the stories as they come alive. It means the world to me. Especially when you all start to get mad. That’s when I know I’m doing something right. And in doing so, pushing me to keep going with all the different plots that form in my head. I’m thankful to you all for being ready and willing to read and give your input.

My Knox Publishing People – Thank you guys for being such great people to work with.

Liz – My sister from another mister, my best friend, and Publisher/Boss/Co-Writer extraordinaire. You’re my go-to when I need it. I love working with you on all that we do. No matter how much chaos we go through to get it done.

Diane – If not for you, I swear I would lose my head. You set me straight when I don’t know which way to look. Thank you for everything you do in being the best PA I could ask for. However, you’re also one amazing friend.

My Editing/Plotting Team – Thank you all for working with me. I truly do enjoy working alongside you all as I bring each and every book to life. I don’t know what I would do without each and every one of you to help me when I need it most.

  Prologue

  Fawn

  7 Years Ago . . .

“You ready to graduate, baby girl?” my dad asks, his eyes filled with pride as I meet him coming down the stairs of the home I’ve lived in for the past eighteen years. A home, I might add, I’ll be leaving soon, and so is he. My dad had raised me alone with the help of his brothers, who are all members of a motorcycle club called Toxic Warriors MC. The ones who had ol’ ladies also helped in bringing me up. It’s a good thing too, because my dad didn’t know anything about makeup or girly things that I like.

“Yes,” I giggle, more than excited to be finishing high school. After the graduation ceremony, dad and the guys from the club are allowing us all to have a party at the nightclub they own, Toxicity. The party is going to be epic.

“Good, let’s get this show on the road,” he chuckles, wrapping an arm around my shoulders as I step off the bottom stair. “You wanna ride on the bike or want me to take the truck?”

“Daddy, I’m in a dress. I can’t ride on the back of your bike,” I mutter, though I love riding with him. I like riding by myself too. My dad had tried to raise me to be a Tomboy, and I might like most sports, riding a motorcycle, and can change my own oil, if need be, but I’m still a girly girl who likes makeup and wearing dresses.

“Right, let’s get out of here,” he grunts and comes to place an arm around my shoulders. “Can’t believe my baby is graduating high school already.”

“Daddy,” I sigh, leaning into his much larger body. With me graduating and going to college, he’s decided to go on the road, becoming a Nomad for a while. It’s something he didn’t get to do before I came into the picture.

Together, we walk out of my childhood home and head for his truck. The next time I step into it; I’ll be facing the next step in my life.

“Holy smoking cripes,” Janelle yells over the loud pulsing music, “I can’t believe we’ve finally graduated.”

“Me either,” I laugh, swaying to the music. We’ve been dancing for what feels like hours now.

The ceremony seemed to drag on forever with all the speeches and then with them calling all of our names. By the time we finally finis
hed, my friends and I were more than ready to get to Toxicity to party.

My dad had decided to head on to the clubhouse. He didn’t want to deal with a bunch of high school girls. I don’t blame him. Even I can admit my dad’s hot. I mean, he’s not exactly old either. When I was born, he was seventeen and prospecting for the club at the time.

I’ve heard plenty of comments made about women wanting my dad to screw them. So, I’m more than happy he’s decided to give the duty to my cousin Ice and the others. Though I didn’t think Viking would be here.

The man’s got to be the sexiest one in the room, and it pisses me off how much attention he’s getting from all the other chicks in here. But I’ll give him credit, he waves them off before they can touch him.

If it weren’t for Ice allowing us to drink tonight, I don’t think I’d be able to be so ballsy and dance in front of Viking the way I am. Maybe it’s because I want his attention solely on me, or it could be due to my crush on him. I want him to see me as something more.

Janelle, Taylor, Melony, and I are laughing, taking shots of God knows what, when I suddenly find myself in the arms of Viking.

“Come on, Dollface, we gotta get you home,” he states, tightening his grasp around me.

“What? Why? It’s my party,” I pout, not wanting to leave just yet.

“Fawn, it’s midnight, and you knew I wasn’t gonna let it keep going all night. Especially with the way some of these fuckers are looking at you,” he grunts and pulls me toward the exit.

“But we’re having fun. Can’t we just move it to the clubhouse? Or even better, my house,” I slur, not wanting the night to end.

“Baby, you’re lucky I don’t kick your cousin’s ass for letting you and your friends drink tonight.”

Ugh, did he just call me baby? Wait, he called me Dollface a bit ago.

Viking pulls me along until we make it to his bike. “You good to hold on to me?”

Swallowing past my nervousness, I glance down at my outfit. “I’m in a dress,” I murmur, not knowing if I can ride behind him in what I’m wearing.

“Gathered that, Fawn. Now, are you good to hold on, or do I need to make a call?” he demands, placing his hands on either side of my waist.

  What’s going on here?

“I’m good,” I whisper, unsure if I’m making the right decision or not. Either way, I don’t care. This is Viking. He’s never let anyone ride with him on his bike. And he’s going to let me.

I’ll do anything when it comes to Viking.

Waking up to the sun hitting my face, I groan at how much my head hurts. I start to pull myself up to a sitting position, but find I can’t move. There’s an arm around my waist holding me still.

  Oh no.

What did I do last night?

Fear as to who’s holding me to them spikes as I roll over and tilt my head back to see who the stranger is.

My eyes nearly pop out of their sockets at the sight of Viking.

  This isn’t good.

Glancing back down, I come face to face with his bare chest.

  Did we?

“Dollface, you keep thinking so hard you’re gonna give yourself a worse headache than you probably already have,” Viking says sleepily, startling me.

“Um, what are you doing in my room?” I ask, pressing against his chest to push away from him.

Viking chuckles and leans up on his elbow, causing me to fall back on my back. “You mean my room, since that’s the room we came to last night after you all but mauled me in the parking lot.”

“Oh my God, I did not.” Please tell me I didn’t.

“Yeah, baby, you did. Told you when you came in here, you were gonna be mine. I’ve waited long enough for you to be mine,” he rasps, dipping his head down to capture my lips in a glorious kiss.

Breaking the kiss, I push against his chest and scurry out of bed. It’s not lost on me that Viking could’ve easily kept me in his bed.

Searching his floor, I ignore the soreness of my body and find my clothes. I can’t do this. Not right now. Yes, I’ve had a crush on him and been in love with Viking for like forever, but that doesn’t mean I want to be his. At least not right now. I’m going away to school. I want to travel. Grow up and find who I’m supposed to be first.

Finding my dress, I throw it on over my naked body and face Viking, who’s watching my every move as he buttons his jeans. I didn’t even see him get out of bed.

“I can’t do this,” I blurt out, casting my eyes to the floor. “I can’t be yours. You don’t want me.”

“No offense, Dollface, but you don’t know what I want,” he says, coming to me. “I’ve wanted you to be mine since you were sixteen, but I couldn’t have you then.”

I shake my head, not wanting to believe this. There’s no way I can do this with him. How the hell did I let myself get in this situation?

Oh, that’s right, I drank all those damn shots last night.

“Don’t lie to me. I know that’s not true, and you know it as well,” I say before rushing out of his room and away from him.

I ignore him calling out after me and run barefooted out of the clubhouse. My heart breaking the entire way. As much as I love Viking, I don’t want to be like the woman who gave birth to me. I want to prove I can be someone and not need a man. I don’t want to turn to drugs when I’m pushed away. I refuse to look desperate or like a whore.

Maybe once I finish school, I’ll come home and can be Viking’s, but not now. Not at eighteen. It would never work between us with me leaving.

Tears stream down my cheeks as I run, not knowing how much my life would change.

  Chapter One

  Viking

  One Month Ago . . .

Pinching the bridge of my nose, I lean back in my chair. This is the last thing I need to deal with right now. I don’t have time for it. There’s enough shit here on my plate. Why does the Oregon Charter have to be filled with a bunch of dumb fucks who want to do nothing but give me a damn headache?

Tossing my phone on the desk, I close my eyes. I just got off the phone with the President of the Deathstalker’s MC, Falcon, and I’m pissed.

Our Oregon Charter is filled with nothing more than motherfuckers not worth being a part of this club. They don’t want to abide by the club’s rules, and I’m done.

Now I’m wiping my hands of them. They want to follow under Rocky, then they can suffer along with him. I made the deal with the Deathstalkers MC, because it was a damn good deal. They ran protection for the girls out that way. Each charter has its own business they handle, but also all deal in pussy and guns. Because I had realized I couldn’t trust Rocky, I made a call.

Kinetic, the Deathstalkers MC enforcer, is my cousin on my mother’s side, and he put me in touch with his Prez. An arrangement was made between our clubs, and it’s worked. Mostly because I’d sent my dad, also known as Hydra, out there to keep an eye on things. Being the former Prez of our club and a founding member, they had no choice but to listen to him. Rock had went with him to watch his back as the two of them handled this situation.

Sighing, I release the pressure from my nose and sit forward. Opening my eyes, I face my VP, Ice, “Call Rock, tell them to shut them down.”

“You sure?” he asks, fury evident on his features. He’s most likely as pissed as I am. We have one main rule between our clubs, women and children are off-fuckin’-limits.

I nod and brace my hands on the desk. “You heard what Falcon said. I sure as fuck ain’t about to have men like Rocky cause problems for us. Besides, he fucked up. Kinetic’s my cousin, and those fuckers held his ol’ lady at gunpoint.”

Ice nods and stands. “I’ll call Rock and let him know. He’s probably waiting for my call anyway, considering Delling had a doctor’s appointment this morning, and I ain’t called him yet,” he says, mentioning his little brother.

“Right,” I grunt, giving Ice a chin lift. “Let me know what he says. Delling with Apricot and Sabrina?”

&n
bsp; “Yep, he’s loving every minute of it. Sabrina spoils him,” Ice chuckles and shakes his head. At seventeen, Delling is independent in a lot of ways, but because of him having Down Syndrome, we’re all protective of him and like to keep an eye out to make sure no one screws with him. A lot of the times when Ice goes to the garage, Delling goes to. He likes to help out with working on bikes and cars. Those who say Down Syndromes can’t do the same things as others could go straight to hell. They’re people and deserve to be treated equally. My brothers and I have all put a hurtin’ on plenty of people who have tried to hurt the kid.

Ice leaves my office, and I get back to what I was doing before Falcon had called—making sure Fawn is coming home.

It’s been seven years, and I’ve barely seen her. I’ve been patient, giving her the time she’s needed after what we did the night of her graduation. I get she was drunk off her ass that night, but fuck me if I could resist her.

“Dollface, you can’t be doing that shit,” I say, twisting at the waist to look back at Fawn. Because of her roaming fingers, I’d no choice but to pull over into an empty parking lot. I couldn’t focus with her running her hands up and down my chest. Her touch’s driving me insane.
